To attract my audience I used quite a few advertisement techniques that have been used by pre-existing magazines, one of them being, the use of vibrant and contrasting colours on the front cover (as well as through the rest of the magazine) to attract the attention of passers-by.
Another technique I've used is directly addressing the audience, using terms like the word "you" or "you're" to invite the audience into the magazine. I feel using a model who is of the target audience appealed to the audience more and would make them feel more inclined to buy the product.
